• Question: would you ever like to go to space and why?

      Hey! There are many reasons why I would love to go to space. One of them is to see the planet real size from the outside, I reckon that is a view that no matter how many pictures and how good your screen is will never be possible to compare with staring at the window from a spacecraft and looking with your own eyes.

      I would also like to feel the weightlessness. To float around in free fall.
      Luckily, at least one of them is possible now with the zero-gravity planes. Those are planes that go really high and then just turn off the engines and go free-fall for a little while. In those you experience zero gravity and fly around for a few minutes. I would love to try a ride!

      Oh, absolutely, for all the reasons Cesar already said. I mean, how cool would that be? Sadly in the US we are losing most of our NASA funding so I doubt it will ever happen for me.

      I think one of the great things about this project is that, by getting you all interested in science, you will become more devoted fighters for science. You all need to make sure, with your votes, that science isn’t defunded! If we don’t have money to do science, we don’t have jobs and we can’t make any progress in answering the great questions of the world or solving the most pertinent problems.

      Right now, no I wouldnt- it all looks a bit traumatic. Did you know that astronauts get space sickness and have lots of negative effects on the body. I’ll stick on the earth until travel becomes like star trek- then I will be the first in line!

      @shannoncourtney @hannilee @diviatasha @kenny I would quite literally love to follow in the footsteps of astronaut Buzz Aldrin and go put some seismometers on the Moon. Have you ever seen a photo of when he did this? It’s so iconic, and the seismometers enabled scientists back on Earth to monitor Moon quakes.

      I’d love to!! But I doubt I’d ever get the chance as it is not my subject area and I also wouldn’t have the money to pay to be a space tourist. There is something weirdly mysterious about space though that I love!
