0 Question: what is the difference between explode.. and implode? Keywords: explode, implode Asked by beckiee100 to Philippa, Kate, Emily on 23 Jun 2011.
Emily Robinson answered on 17 Jun 2011:
How I understand it if something explodes everything is thrown outwards, but if it implodes everything crushes in on itself… although a physics person may have a better description that I do. 😀

Kate Clancy answered on 23 Jun 2011:
Yup, Emily’s got it. Luckily the science I do almost never deals with anything imploding or exploding!
