If you have a PhD it means you are a Doctor of Philosophy! That might sound a little weird as people do PhDs in loads of different subjects not just philosophy, but in this context ‘philosophy’ is taken from the original greek meaning of the word “love of wisdom.” So a PhD is just a further degree and at the end of it you just pass or fail, there is no grade, but if you do pass you get to be called a Dr!

Would you be interested in doing a degree and maybe a PhD one day? It is a lot of hard work but it isn’t as scary as it sounds… honest!
