Well I don’t get much!
I have my science show and I am planning another rather exciting (but secret) one right now. I am also a salsa teacher. So this is a kind of work that take up time when I’m not in the lab.
But when I relax I like going to the cinema or going out with friends- I want to see the new X men film!
I’m a big movie buff! I have a PS3 too.
Pub quizzes, the odd hill walk, theater or just wandering around Glasgow. I’m supposed to be going paintballing on saturday
I think I mentioned this is another question, but I play roller derby, and that is most of my free time. When I’m not doing that or, obviously, playing with my daughter and husband, I am often exercising. And when I’m not doing THAT, I am reading books. Or playing Angry Birds. Or cooking and baking. I like to garden, too, but gardening often feels like just pulling lots and lots of weeds (maybe that says something about how good a gardener I am!).
I love socialising with all my friends and going to watch films or musicals at the theatre. At the moment I am trying to get back into reading fiction books for pleasure. I am currently reading ‘Wuthering Heights’ as everyone I know said it was a good read. I also can’t wait to go to glastonbury festival and see some of my favourite bands perform live!
@scottdukes @happy Back in the UK I either socialise with friends or spend time doing gym classes (aerocombat, tai chi, pilates, boxercise…). Recently I did a swimming course because I didn’t know how to swim properly before and I was scared of putting my head underwater, but now I’m no longer scared and I’m ace at front crawl 🙂 I hate to admit this, but I was also a little addicted to my Nintendo DS. I am rubbish at Super Mario, but pretty good at Rhythm Nation.
Out here on Montserrat it’s slightly different because my time isn’t taken up with studying. Outside of work there isn’t actually that much to do here – it’s not like in the UK where you can go to the cinema or whatever, so people make their own entertainment. Socialising is a really big thing. I’ve made new friends really quickly! We like to meet up to go to the beach for a swim in the sea before sunset, and yesterday a group of us went for a hike up the highest hill on Montserrat. Last week we had a quiz night, which was really good fun even though my team came last – we failed miserably in the sports category, lol!
