• Question: is it possible for someone to not have a bellybutton?

      It would be pretty hard to not have a belly button, since that is where your umbilical cord connects, and so far it is not possible to grow a baby without it being connected via umbilical cord to a placenta. But I won’t rule it out as something that could somehow happen in the future.

      My husband had to have abdominal surgery when he was only a year old, so he has a funny shaped belly button because of the scar down the front of his belly!

      Nope, that little spot is very important. until we are born it is very important. It gives us all the food and oxygen that we need. I guess you could have it cosmetically removed- but that would look rather odd.

      As for an inny or an outy, it just depends how well it is tied off when you pop out.

      It is funny to think that your belly button is where you were connected to your mum!
