      Hi Meggie,
Well I live in Scotland and we have a little bit of a different system. We have Standard grades instead of GCSEs. I have 8 of these and then 6 highers and 2 advanced highers.

We don’t have these in the US, either. We have an AP or IB system, I was under the AP system. It was a long time ago… but I think I had APs in biology, english, calculus, history. I went to a relatively poor school so we didn’t have enough money to offer many APs, so I took almost all of the ones that were offered.

@meggie @miamimi I took an O’level (the old style GCSE) in maths a year early, and then took 8 GCSEs (biology, science, English, English lit, history, German, music and geography) plus A/S level maths the year after.

I think I got 10 GSCEs… I passed all the ones I took and got A-C grades in them all. French and RE were my worst marks, but art and english language were my best marks. I loved biology more though!
