No not at all! Being a scientist dosen’t mean you act oddly or have no friends. If you met me you wouldnt know I was a scientist. I’m just a totally average guy 🙂

No, although I don’t believe we are nerdy at all! In fact, this is part of what this I’m a scientist is for! So we can try to convince you that we are not all that nerdy 😉

@mollymoo @Jamie and @Cesar are in denial, lol! I’m a nerd and proud of it 🙂 And have you not seen the guy that Naomi was going out with in 90210? Nerds are hot!

In all seriousness though, I’ve actually found it easier to have relationships since switching career path to the sciences than I did when I was working in the music business.

haha… well I’d call myself a geek not a nerd, lol. It is funny my boyfriend knows nothing about science at all and I like it that way. So there is no temptation to try and be geeky at home too. I explain my science in very simple terms for him so he knows what I’m up to at uni, but other than that we prefer to talk about other things. Although he does jokingly tell me off if he thinks I’m trying to teach him sciencey things!

I wouldn’t really call myself a nerd either. Geek, maybe. Dork, sometimes. But also an activist, troublemaker, mother, athlete, and friend.

Being a scientist is only one part of our identities. It’s a great part, but just a part.
