Question: are you religious, do you have a soul?

I am not religious, and to be honest, I’m not sure what a soul is! I know I have a marvelous brain, and a body that works well, and that the two communicate in a really interesting way. I know that in addition to taking in information about my environment that my brain can have higher level thoughts, like wondering whether I’m out of milk or how I should reorganize a paper I’m writing. And I know my brain can worry, because I have a little girl and sometimes I just watch her sleep because it’s beautiful and I like to watch to be sure she’s breathing.

I guess I just don’t think I need to be religious in order to feel wonder and delight at the idea of being alive and getting to observe and interact with the world around me. It is a wonderful thing to have the life I have, with my family and my job and my sport! I am incredibly lucky.
