Question: what is the difference between explode.. and implode?

How I understand it if something explodes everything is thrown outwards, but if it implodes everything crushes in on itself… although a physics person may have a better description that I do. 😀

Yup, Emily’s got it. Luckily the science I do almost never deals with anything imploding or exploding!

Explode goes outwards – ex in latin: from / out of
Implode goes inwards – in in latin: in / on / into / onto
can a black hole explode or implode
