It is a facinating place! There is so many new and intersting things out there. I had a telescope when I was younger and was facinated by the stars and the moon.
It is not my favourite area of science though- I do prefer to stick to studying our own little corner of space here on earth!
@smiffiieee Do I like space? Who wouldn’t want the opportunity to go up there? i’d like to follow in Buzz Aldrin’s footsteps and go deploy some seismometers on the Moon to monitor moon quakes. Until then though, I think I’ll stick with planet Earth and exploring volcanoes 🙂
Actually space is one of the areas of science in which I know relatively nothing about but I have a keen interest in outside of work. I love watching programmes on TV like Prof Brian Cox’s Wonders of the universe, as it makes me realise how amazing it is that we exist as a tiny part of a huge universe. I also on wednesday when to a really good lunar eclipse event at my local science museum. I signed up to get emails from the local astronomy club too so I might start doing some star gazing in my spare time!
Are you interested in space? What is your favourite thing about space?
